Meet the Owners.

      Milestone Event Center is a labor of love for our owners, and each member of their family has had a hand laying the floor, painting the walls, or building the website to be a place their guests can relax and celebrate with friends and family.
     Owners Kristie and Brent, a brother-sister duo, realized their communities needed a large, renovated event space while planning fundraising events for their children's school districts. Shortly after, they bought the building and transformed it into a space fit for weddings, grad parties, school events, community gatherings, and corporate events.
     We are proud to offer a venue for all your Milestone celebrations, and we sincerely hope you enjoy our large, inviting space.  As owners, we strive to maintain a space you and your guests will enjoy and remember for years to come. ​

Established in 2019

Milestone was established in 2019. The building was first used as a Moose Lodge then later rented out by a local church. While Milestone purchased the venue, the owners and their families quickly got to work to the building and transform ever part of the interior into a high-end venue space. The  Jarrett and Johnston families are grateful to the local businesses that contributed to the transformation, and to their numerous relatives who spent holidays and weekends painting walls and laying floor boards. After a year of work, the owners proudly opened the facility in Feb. 2020. Since then we have hosted numerous weddings, graduation parties, celebrations of life, baby showers, and community events including craft fairs, fundraisers, and dinner theater. We look forward to continuing hosting events to celebrate all our clients, their milestone moments, and our community.

Kristie Jarrett 
Owner

Kristie lives with her husband, Stoney, and three kids in Wakeman. She is active in the Western Reserve Athletic Boosters and coached youth basketball & high school softball in the district. She loves watching her kids' sporting events, baking/decorating cakes, and camping with family and friends. 

Brent Johnston
Owner

Brent lives in Milan, and enjoys volunteer work with St. Anthony's  church and coaching high school softball for the past 13 years. Though all three of his kids are grown, they visit frequently and often help out at Milestone. Brent enjoys golfing and boating.
